Vahan Technologies, a Bangalore-based technology company organised a seminar on blue-collar recruitment in Hyderabad. The technology platform, backed by investors Khosla Ventures and Airtel, held the seminar for both entrepreneurs in the recruitment space, and the gig workers. Blue-collar and gig workers segment is growing at 200 per cent between 2020 and 2030. The demand driven from industries such as food delivery, quick service, e-commerce and manufacturing, will lead to 2.35 crore gig workers by 2030, according to Niti Aayog.

Addressing the gathering, Siddharth Chauhan, Head – Supply Acquisition, Vahan Technologies, said that the growth of the recruitment industry, especially the blue-collar segment, is increasing due to the rising popularity of gig working culture in the country.

“Our focus is on addressing the challenges in blue-collar employment and helping individuals to earn passive income source while helping blue-collar workers get placed. We are also involved with our recruiting partners to help them build a profitable and growing business with us,” Chauhan further said. He informed that the participants were explained about how Vahan’s AI and Machine Learning-powered platform has made blue-collar recruitment quick and efficient.
